The Plyphonic Model A is Plyphonic’s flagship audio console: a handmade high-end furniture piece with integrated turntable, speakers, amplifier, Bluetooth streaming and storage for more than 400 LPs.

The Plyphonic Model A is designed for music lovers who want their vinyl collection, hi-fi system and interior to come together in one impressive piece of furniture. It is more than a record cabinet and more than an audio system: it is a central statement piece for a living room or dedicated listening space. Model A consists of three carefully matched cabinets and is built around the complete music experience.

The construction reflects the high-end character of the console. Plyphonic uses 18 mm Baltic birch plywood with visible grain and clean layered edges. The cabinet rests on custom welded steel frames that help minimise vibration and give the furniture a light, architectural appearance. This creates a stable base for the integrated Reloop RP7000 MK2 turntable and the built-in two-way speaker system.

For sound reproduction, Model A uses Beyma 12BR70 bass/mid woofers, PRV D280T0-S compression drivers and H6512 horns. The Class D amplifiers deliver 4 × 100 watts, while the DSP-based pre-amp with Analog Devices ADAU1701 allows precise tuning with a 1200 Hz crossover. In addition to vinyl playback, the Model A includes Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.1 streaming, making it easy to play digital music from a phone, tablet or laptop.

With storage for more than 500 LPs, the Model A is also a serious record cabinet. The generous compartments keep a large collection organised and close at hand. In this way, the Plyphonic Model A combines the role of record storage, turntable furniture and high-end audio console in one carefully crafted design.

Plyphonic: handmade audio furniture for serious music lovers

Plyphonic stands out because its furniture is designed around the way people actually listen to music. The brand makes handmade furniture for music lovers, ranging from modular vinyl storage to complete high-end audio consoles. Its design language refers to the stereo consoles of the 1950s and 1960s, when the music system was a central piece of furniture in the living room. Plyphonic brings that idea back in a modern form, with clean lines, space for vinyl records, and in some models integrated speakers, amplification and room for a turntable.

The quality comes from the combination of material, construction and finishing. Plyphonic works with high-quality birch and pine plywood, leaving the layered edges visible as a deliberate design detail. The furniture is made in Oldenzaal in the Netherlands, using CNC precision for strong, accurate joints and hand finishing for sanding, gluing, oiling and assembly. The constructions are fully glued and made without visible screws, which gives the furniture a clean appearance and helps keep it stiff and vibration-free, an important detail for good sound reproduction.

About Plyphonic

At AllVinyl, we like to show the people and makers behind the furniture. Plyphonic is a Dutch maker of handmade audio furniture for vinyl lovers, hi-fi enthusiasts and music collectors. Their designs are inspired by the warm character of 1950s and 1960s stereo consoles, but made for modern interiors and today’s audio setups.

With strong plywood construction, precise finishing and practical layouts for records and equipment, Plyphonic creates furniture that is both functional and distinctive. These are record cabinets and audio consoles made for people who want their music collection to be part of the room.

FAQs Plyphonic Model A Audio Console

How many records does the Plyphonic Model A store?

The specification states space for more than 400 LPs. Capacity depends on sleeve thickness and how much browsing room is left in each section, so avoid packing the vinyl storage completely tight.

What are the dimensions and weight of the Model A audio console?

The console measures approximately 220 cm wide, 50 cm deep and 90 cm high, with a listed weight of about 200 kg. Confirm floor access, doorway widths and the final listening-room position before ordering.

Does the Model A include a turntable?

Yes. It includes an integrated Reloop RP-7000 MK2 turntable. Because the record player is part of the audio furniture, the setup is designed as a complete listening console rather than an empty turntable stand.

View more questions Hide questions

Are speakers, amplification and Bluetooth built in?

Yes. The Model A includes built-in speakers, a four-channel Class D amplifier rated at 4 × 100 W, and Bluetooth 5.1. This allows wired record playback and wireless sources to share the same cabinet.

How are records and LP accessories organized?

The cabinet combines upright record-storage sections with drawers and dedicated equipment areas. Blum soft-close hardware keeps drawers controlled, while frequently used sleeves, brushes and cables can be kept close to the turntable.

Which materials are used in the Plyphonic Model A?

The cabinet is built from 18 mm, 13-layer Baltic birch plywood with HPL-laminated surfaces and a welded steel base. These specifications are intended to provide a rigid platform for the integrated audio components and large LP collection.

Does this made-to-order record cabinet require assembly?

No customer assembly is listed. The Model A is handmade in Oldenzaal and supplied as a completed audio console, so access and placement need to be arranged for a large, heavy piece of furniture.

What are the lead time, return conditions and warranty?

The stated production lead time is approximately three to twelve weeks. Because the console is made to order, it is treated as a final-sale product rather than a standard return item; the listed warranty is two years.

Collection FAQs

What should I measure before buying an LP cabinet with amplifier space?

Measure the amplifier’s width, height and depth, including feet, control knobs, rear plugs and cable bends. The usable compartment must also leave the ventilation clearance stated in the amplifier manual. Measuring only the metal case can produce a shelf that is technically wide enough but unusable once cables are connected.

Do record cabinets with amplifier space include cable management?

Many products use open backs, cable grommets or rear openings, but the arrangement differs by model. LOIA consoles use open rear sections and cable routes, while other record sideboards place openings behind equipment bays. Check where power, speaker and signal cables need to enter and leave.

Can a turntable and amplifier share the same record cabinet?

Yes, when the top is level and stable and the equipment compartment provides enough airflow. The turntable should not sit directly beside speakers or above a heat source. An LP cabinet that separates playback, amplification and record storage makes the setup easier to service and organize.

View more questions Hide questions

How much vinyl storage is available in an amplifier cabinet?

The collection covers compact cabinets below 100 LPs as well as larger audio furniture holding several hundred records. Capacity depends on how much of the cabinet is reserved for equipment, drawers or closed storage, so compare the product-specific LP count rather than judging by external width alone.

Is an open or closed amplifier compartment better?

An open compartment makes controls and cables accessible and generally supports airflow. A closed section can reduce visual clutter, but it needs suitable ventilation openings and enough internal clearance. The amplifier manufacturer’s instructions should take priority over the furniture’s appearance.

Which materials are used for record cabinets with audio equipment space?

The collection includes powder-coated steel consoles, solid-wood furniture, plywood audio consoles and mixed wood-and-metal constructions. Check shelf load as well as material: a large amplifier, turntable and row of LPs place concentrated weight on the furniture.

How can I prevent an amplifier from overheating inside LP furniture?

Do not block the amplifier’s ventilation slots, stack items directly on top or push rear connectors against the back panel. Leave the clearance specified by the equipment maker and keep doors open during use when the furniture design requires it.

What other hi-fi equipment can fit in these record cabinets?

Depending on the compartment dimensions, the cabinet may hold a phono stage, streamer, receiver, active speakers or power supplies as well as an amplifier. Measure every component separately and include space for controls, remote sensors and heat dissipation.
