Return and refund policy

1) Scope

This policy applies to purchases made on allvinyl-platenkasten.nl by consumers within the EU.

Business (B2B) purchases are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal unless expressly agreed.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights under applicable EU and Dutch law.

 

2) Right of withdrawal (14 days)

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us within 14 days of delivery by contacting Customer Service (see Section 6). After you notify us, you then have 14 days to send the item back.

We will confirm your request and provide return instructions before you ship the product back.

 

3) Exclusions: made-to-order items

Items made to your specifications or clearly customised (e.g., modules cut/finished to order, special finishes or dimensions) cannot be returned under the right of withdrawal.

You will be clearly informed of this before ordering a made-to-order item, and it is also stated on the product page.

 

4) Condition of returned items

Returned items must be handled with due care. You may inspect the product to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning—similar to what is allowed in a physical shop.

If the product has been used beyond that, causing diminished value, we may deduct a reasonable amount from your refund to reflect the loss in value.

Please return items clean, complete, and carefully packed. Wherever reasonably possible, use the original packaging and include all accessories, screws, manuals and protective materials, so the item arrives safely and remains resaleable.

 

5) Return shipping & risk

Please note that return shipping costs are at the customer’s expense, so we kindly ask you to review our return policy before sending anything back.

We aim to reduce our environmental impact and ease the pressure on the transport sector. By charging for returns, we encourage customers to make thoughtful purchasing decisions. We believe that this approach will benefit all of us in the long run.

We recommend using a tracked and insured service suitable for heavy furniture to avoid damage in transit.

You are responsible for the product until we receive it. Keep the proof of shipment.

 

6) How to return (authorisation required)

Before sending anything back, please contact our Customer Service for approval and instructions:

Include: order number, item(s), reason for return, photos if there is damage or a defect, and whether the packaging is intact.

We will provide the correct return address and any specific packing/handling guidance.

 

7) Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 3 working days to the original payment method.

If you exercised the right of withdrawal, we will refund the purchase price and the standard delivery cost (if paid), but not any additional delivery surcharges (e.g., premium delivery options, upstairs service).

Any deduction for diminished value (see Section 4) will be clearly communicated before the refund is finalised.

 

8) Damaged, incorrect or defective items

If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, contact Customer Service within a reasonable time after delivery. Please include photos of the product and packaging.

Where applicable, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your statutory rights. In these cases, return shipping costs are covered by us.

 

9) Exchanges

Direct exchanges are not guaranteed due to stock and production planning. If you prefer a different configuration or finish, we will process a return (if eligible) and you can place a new order.

 

10) Environmental note

We ask customers to consider returns carefully. Shipping large and heavy furniture has a measurable environmental impact. By choosing thoughtfully and consulting our team before buying, you help reduce avoidable transport.
